Scholarships

There are a huge range of scholarship options to provide financial assistance for people who wish to study through CSU. The Student Equity Service administers Equity Scholarships and Grants, including Commonwealth Learning Scholarships and CSU Equity Scholarships while the Charles Sturt Foundation operates an extensive scholarship program through the valuable support and contribution of both industry groups and individuals. Loans

The Special Assistance Loans Scheme provides short term financial assistance to enable students to continue their studies. Loans may be approved for things like off campus accommodation, textbooks, study equipment and living expenses. More information about loans

Financial assistance

CSU Student Services can provide you with advice on important sources of financial assistance, including the Commonwealth Government funded loan scheme for students experiencing financial difficulty.

Access to allowances for Postgraduate study

The Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) now offers student income support to students undertaking study in a number of professionally-oriented Master by coursework degrees. Eligible students undertaking the following approved Master degrees will be able to access Youth Allowance, Austudy and Abstudy. A complete list of approved courses has been provided to Centrelink to assist with student enquiries.
