The OPA/IP policies of all 10 NSW universities were reviewed by the NSW Audit Office in 1999. CSU policies rated very highly and changes were made on the basis of this review.

The NSW Audit Report and the University's corresponding action.

ACTION REQUIRED: For all outside professional activities (described in the Policy) in which you are currently engaged please provide the following details, to your Head of School who will then forward a report to the Centre for Research & Graduate Training.

Title of project/event:
Summary of services/topic/outline of project:
(approx 10 lines)
Contracting party: (company or organisation for whom the service is provided)
Start and end dates:
OPA reference number: (this is the number assigned to your project if you have already sought approval under the OPA policy)

PLEASE NOTE: It should be clearly understood that failure by a staff member to notify their Head of School of their involvement in any outside professional activity in which he or she is to be engaged may lead to disciplinary action under the applicable enterprise agreement. The notification by a staff member must be made through the Head of School to the Centre, and approved by the University, prior to commencement of the outside professional activity.
